Overview 

Our team was passionate about introducing cosmetics into our game to give players a chance to express themselves by earning special avatar frames. The social atmosphere in Big Fish Casino and Jackpot Magic Slots made it an ideal setting for this feature.

To gauge player interest, we tested a monthly event where players spun to unlock avatar frames. Each month, new frames tied to the latest slot content were available. The basic frames were easy to earn, with progressively more difficult and exciting frames. Top-tier frames provided social rewards, giving out social bonuses to other players at the table.

Goal

The promotion enhanced player engagement and monetization. We applied our insights to launch a new collections feature, Treasures, focused on cosmetic rewards.


My Role

I developed a system that allowed players to equip Avatar Frames by completing challenges, serving as status symbols to showcase their in-game achievements.

Before fully implementing this feature, we conducted a GameOps event to test player interest in cosmetics. This limited-time event enabled players to earn and upgrade their avatar frames. We measured player engagement, social behavior, and gameplay sessions to assess the promotion's impact.
